DE VERDAD: Term that is applied to the flamenco singer who reunites the essential conditions in order to qualify it as excellent, such as spontaneity, sincerity and inspiration.

DECIR: To sing, in a special way, conferring to intense song and total communication.

DESPLANTE: Series of strong taps with the foot against the ground that were executed in some primitive dances as an expression of physical relief and that in flamenco dance is employed as a closing of other steps, corresponding to the guitar with the simple rasgueos that are placed at the end of the melody.

DIAPASÓN: Wooden piece that covers the neck, on which the chords of the guitar are pressed with the fingers.

DUENDE: According to the definition of the Dictionary of the Real Spanish Academy of the Language: mysterious enchantment and indescribable of song. This poetic expression credits magic as it is assumed to be intrinsical to flamenco.
